Windy !!

My day off and so far this morning it has been spent laughing my backside off at Baxter. We had a burst of huge snow flakes and we went outside and he was running crazy all over the yard, jumping up all over the place trying to catch them... The wind is howling and he is howling everytime it does and he thinks every leaf blowing is a squirrel...hahahaha Poor dog... Going to have to put him in therapy as well.
Tony got a MP3 player from Elantis's 90 year anniversary celebration at work, which has become mine :-) So I am busy downloading all my Christmas music on it today and at the same time catching up on laundry and cleaning.
We have decided to not put up the Christmas tree as it would be too much of a temptation for Baxter to destroy while we are at work. He still has days where he gets upset and chews things up. Have always heard that Boxer's require alot of attention. Is so true. You can't watch T.V. here without Baxter standing in front of it staring back at you...hahahaha
I hope everyone is having a Wonderful Week !!!!

I have spent the day browsing blogs here on blogger...

Today In Idabel Oklahoma is fast becoming my favorite...

Four women..one town..one blog..lots of sarcasm. Breaking News: Soon there may only be two women. But which two..stay tuned!

Was a day for staying indoors and keeping warm and dry...

Although Baxter thought different...I had to take the Trash Container out to the curb for today's Trash Pickup. Now it is quite a chore dragging that can through 9 inches of unshoveled snow and even harder with an 80 lb. Boxer jumping up on me and knocking me down in the snow... By the time I got back into the house I had been knocked down 4 times and was covered from head to foot with snow... He was still jumping around and wanting to play in the snow more...Geeeez !! Crazy Dog.....hahahahaha

I never went back to work after coming home this morning. They had enough people come in to cover all the floors so I will try this once again tomorrow. Baxter and I have had a relaxing, quiet afternoon.

I have surfed the internet most of the day now. Wasn't anything else to do around here, I caught up on all of the housework over the weekend.

Baxter has been bored, as he keeps coming up to me wanting me to play...LOL He has a big green rubber bone that he loves playing fetch with.

Came home from work and Tony had the Christmas Tree all taken down and packed away. Am sure Baxter is thankful for this as now he doesn't have to put his big nose in it and get it pricked everytime..LOL

A warm day here in Saint Louis. We had a little bit of Severe Weather, mostly lots of rain and wind. I had to come down flooded streets to make it home. Most of the Severe stuff is in Illinois now.

Hope everyone is having a Great Weekend.

Woke up this morning to the first dusting of snow for the season. Baxter enjoyed playing out in it.

We had...

Some major flooding in the Saint Louis area yesterday. They closed down several streets near the house here. A lady I work with who lives not too far from us was still without power this morning. Our power never went off. I did however get soaked going into work yesterday morning. Well I have the day off tomorrow and my feet are sure looking forward to it...hahahaha Baxter will be happy not having to go into the cage.

Tippy

This is Tippy. She was adopted by my Mom. She was abused and is adapting well to a now loving family. I have been off work for a few days now but I go back to work tomorrow. This will be my weekend off so I will finish unpacking boxes then. We are suppose to start getting some rain off of Gustav this afternoon. Baxter has enjoyed his time out of the cage for the past several days. I have been busy with a few of my websites.

Now the fun begins....

Unpacking all the boxes that I moved back with me on this trip... LOL Baxter was quite pleased to see that we hadn't forgotten him and returned to pick him up. Although he wasn't too happy about going into the cage when we went to work this morning. I have the day off tomorrow and am going to attempt to start unpacking. This evening I plan to just relax, Tony and his daughter have gone off to the races. His daughter's boyfriend is racing tonight.
I have added a few new pages onto my website.

At Last

Friday is here and I get to go home tomorrow to see the family. Baxter will either stay at Tony's sons house or go to the kennel. He will not be making this trip with us. The A/C in the van is not the best and he stays too hot on trips in it. Can't take the car because we have to move the rest of my stuff up here that I left when I moved here. We're hoping to get an early start. When we get back home I will add more hours on at work sitting with patients. Right now I only work part-time in housekeeping. Just not quite sure I want to go full time in housekeeping. I won't be back from Arkansas until Tuesday so I hope everyone has a great weekend and a great week also...

I have come to the conclusion that.....

Some dogs are worse than children when it comes to getting into things they know they shouldn't and still do... I put Baxter in his cage this morning when I went to get the car reinspected (it passed). When I went to go get cigarettes I just grabbed my wallet and keys out of my purse and left it on the dining room table and left him sitting in his recliner as usually he just sits there and waits for me to get back... Or does he? When I opened up the door to step into the house there he stands at the dining room table with my purse strap in his mouth. When he turns to me he still has it in his mouth. Maybe he was just going to go shopping.... LMAO He is over 18 months old and still very full of puppy. Although he is scared of a rolled up newspaper when it hits the coffee table !! It's days like this that I wish I carried the camera on me so I could catch that Kodak Moment..... LOL

Has been a.....

nice, relaxing day of working on my website and washing clothes. Baxter has chosen to stay outside most of the day.
First thing this morning sirens on the block here. A Bellefontaine Neighbors police car and a fire truck pulled up to the neighbors house and it wasn't long after that a ambulance pulled up and they took the neighbor off to the hospital. He has been in and out several times here lately. Baxter was busy running from the windows to the door all the time the sirens were going on.
Am thinking of starting another blog dealing with my depression.

Much better Today...

Allergy pills have taken care of the problem. First day back at work after 4 days off and my feet are telling me all about it. Gorgeous day outside. A few of the patients mentioned today that they would rather be fishing, I had to agree with them. I enjoy the interaction between the patients and me, it makes the day just fly by. Baxter had spilt his water in his cage and was soaking wet when I let him out. He wants to jump and run when I first let him out only today it was me running and jumping to keep away from him and his wet paws... Hahahahaha

First week.......

First week at Christian Hospital is behind me. Great bunch of people I work with there. Has been a very busy week here. Tony and I decided with my starting work that we would just let Baxter (the Boxer) stay in the back room during the day and not put him in his cage. Tony fixed a4 foot piece of plasterboard up in front of the door and put a chair in front of it. We both left for work hoping this would be a great solution. When I got home from work the place was a disaster zone. Baxter had clawed his way through the top of the barrier and climbed his way out and over the top of the chair. Everything was in the floor, he had pulled everything off of the dining room table and the dresser in the bedroom. A whole box of sandwich bags was everywhere and the fresh flowers that Tony had brought to me over the past weekend were a thing of the past. I really didn't get upset as it was an experiment in progress. We decided that a door will have to go up in that entranceway and until that happens Baxter is going into the cage.
