Trying to stay busy...
My Mom always said "The Good Lord doesn't put more on your plate than you can handle". I've been trying to keep busy today as I feel like my plate has overrun and spilled onto the floor. They also say grief comes in stages. At this point I'm not sure where I stand on that one. I lost 2 of the people I could tell anything to and they would understand and not judge. I could just be me around them. I still have a few people in my life that allow me to be me. My daughter, her fiancé Kenny and younger sister Debbie. I count my blessings that I still have them in my life. Raised to believe, to have faith. forgive and have love above all. In my heart I know that my sister's spirit lives on. She and I had long conversations about the spirit world. We both felt very strongly about it. There is a thin veil between our world and the spirit world. I don't believe they watch us constantly but I believe they see the big events that bring happiness or sadness to our lives. Everyone has an opinion of their own regarding where the soul goes upon death or even if a person has a soul. I respect that. I'm definitely not a believer of everything in the Bible being the truth. Too many times it has been rewritten over the ages. Don't even get me started on churches. I was raised going to church every Sunday mornings, Sunday nights and on Wednesday nights. If my Mom had just asked one time what the sermon had been about, she would have found out just how much I didn't pay attention. I went because she made us go until we turned 16 and then she said we could make our own choices, about going or not going. I learned more from my Mom talking about being a christian and her stories she told from the bible at home than I ever learned sitting on that hard pew trying my best not to fidgit. Some people look for a sign from their loved one. They even go as far to pick something out specifically so they can see proof of their presence. I would say anytime anyone in our family sees a hummingbird, that would be Marsha saying " I'm here " She loved birds, especially hummingbirds. I'm still having a hard time just believing she is gone. Tomorrow the 18th would have been her Birthday.

Early Morning Rambling's
What fun the past few weeks have been. I am already tired of the snow and Winter is just getting started. It is almost 4 a.m. and I am wide awake. The temperature outside is 5 but with the windchill it is -7. Brrrr.. I have the next several days off and I have a very busy schedule planned. With all the hours I have put in this past month, I have neglected quite a bit of stuff around the house here.
I saw on Facebook today that my granddaughter Stacey got her first tooth in. Sammy better watch out now..
I turned 51 a few days ago. I had a really nice Birthday even though I had to work that day. Tony cooked me a wonderful dinner and had a cheesecake topped with strawberries. Yummy !! It is definitely all gone now, Tony only got one piece of it...hahahahaha
Two Birthdays stick out in my memory as my favorites. One was when I got a doll called Little Miss No Name. She had a sad looking face with a teardrop on it. I loved that doll. I wish I still had her. I have no idea what ever happened to her. The other was when I got my Sewing Machine. That I still have or rather it is still in my Dad's house. I wish I had it with me but with the circumstances like they are I will never go back there to get it.
We have another chance of a few snow squalls coming through today. Makes for a good day to stay indoors but knowing Tony he will want to get out and drive around the city for awhile. As always I grab the camera and hop into that passenger seat... There is always something interesting to photograph.
I hope everyone has a pleasant week.

Talladega 2008

For Tony's Birthday we went to Talladega Superspeedway . We had a wonderful trip. We drove over 1200 miles and went through 7 states in a few days. It was quite an experience. We even got to stop and see my Grandma and Mom on the way back home. The Budweiser Suite was really nice but Tony and I agreed next time we would rather sit out in the Grand Stands. You can see more action out there..LOL
We got to meet Kasey Kahne who drives the Budweiser Car and get his autograph.

Just a few more day of work and my weekend will be here. I kinda like having my days off during the week. I seem to get alot accomplished on those days. I hope everyone is having a great weekend !!!
