Early Morning Rambling's

What fun the past few weeks have been. I am already tired of the snow and Winter is just getting started. It is almost 4 a.m. and I am wide awake. The temperature outside is 5 but with the windchill it is -7. Brrrr.. I have the next several days off and I have a very busy schedule planned. With all the hours I have put in this past month, I have neglected quite a bit of stuff around the house here.
I saw on Facebook today that my granddaughter Stacey got her first tooth in. Sammy better watch out now..
I turned 51 a few days ago. I had a really nice Birthday even though I had to work that day. Tony cooked me a wonderful dinner and had a cheesecake topped with strawberries. Yummy !! It is definitely all gone now, Tony only got one piece of it...hahahahaha
Two Birthdays stick out in my memory as my favorites. One was when I got a doll called Little Miss No Name. She had a sad looking face with a teardrop on it. I loved that doll. I wish I still had her. I have no idea what ever happened to her. The other was when I got my Sewing Machine. That I still have or rather it is still in my Dad's house. I wish I had it with me but with the circumstances like they are I will never go back there to get it.
We have another chance of a few snow squalls coming through today. Makes for a good day to stay indoors but knowing Tony he will want to get out and drive around the city for awhile. As always I grab the camera and hop into that passenger seat... There is always something interesting to photograph.
I hope everyone has a pleasant week.

Hi

LOL...The child is more than likely thinking this lady is crazy...LOL But at least she was paying attention to me...hahahaha
Going through my pictures and transferring them to discs. It has been wonderful so far watching the twins grow up through their pictures. I am fortunate that my daughter Beth thinks enough to take them for me all the time. Won't be going home for Christmas as I have to work the holiday, but my thoughts will be with my family. Hopefully will be going home after the first of the year weather permitting.
Tony and I did a lot of cleaning and catching up on some repairs around here this past weekend. I have worked the past two days and I am just wore out. Mostly from working along with this cold I have.
I hope everyone is having a good week and just in case I don't get back on here the rest of this week... I hope Everyone has a Very Merry Christmas...

Windy !!

My day off and so far this morning it has been spent laughing my backside off at Baxter. We had a burst of huge snow flakes and we went outside and he was running crazy all over the yard, jumping up all over the place trying to catch them... The wind is howling and he is howling everytime it does and he thinks every leaf blowing is a squirrel...hahahaha Poor dog... Going to have to put him in therapy as well.
Tony got a MP3 player from Elantis's 90 year anniversary celebration at work, which has become mine :-) So I am busy downloading all my Christmas music on it today and at the same time catching up on laundry and cleaning.
We have decided to not put up the Christmas tree as it would be too much of a temptation for Baxter to destroy while we are at work. He still has days where he gets upset and chews things up. Have always heard that Boxer's require alot of attention. Is so true. You can't watch T.V. here without Baxter standing in front of it staring back at you...hahahaha
I hope everyone is having a Wonderful Week !!!!

Woo Hoo !!!!

First snow of the season might be here tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow night. Not quite sure I am ready for it but they say we should get at least an inch of the white stuff...

Looks like I will be using my snow route much erlier than last year...hahahaha
Sammy is pulling up to things...Beth is surely going to have her hands full running after two of them at the same time...LOL
I hope everyone is having a good week...

Just Grammy Bragging...LOL

Sam is on the left and Stac is on the right... My they are growing.. Beth says they are going to do everything at one time..
I have the day off after working 8 in a row. Even though I woke up at 3 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep for nothing. We are not doing anything special for Thanksgiving. Going to Tony's son's house for a few hours tomorrow. I have to work Friday and the weekend then.
I hope all my friends and family have a wonderful day tomorrow...

Nice Cold Drizzily lazy day here !!!

Took this picture earlier as Baxter and I were returning from grocery shopping. I don't mind the grocery shopping part but trying to decide on what we are having for dinners cause major anxiety attacks still, I guess it always will. Tony has to sit down with me and make out a meal list for the week. Good thing he is so understanding about this among other things...LOL

As you can tell from the trees they have just about shed all of their leaves. Today is my day off buy they are too soggy for me to be doing any raking with....Yeah !!!! And I work the rest of this week, so hopefully by the weekend the rest will be off and Tony and I will only have to rake one more time this year. Well leaves that is, the gum balls won't fall off until next month.
I went ahead and got my H1N1 shot this past week at the hospital. Was quite undecided about it but found out that is was going to become mandatory as a condition of employment with BJC just like the yearly flu shot is so I got it. At least now I don't have to run around in a mask all day long.
Well I hope everyone has a great week, I am off to make some meatloaf for dinner.

I'm back.....

Well after months of trying different meds., the doctor has put me back on Celexa. I hadn't realized just how long I have been off of Blogger. I have an account on face book and have connected up with alot of my high school friends on there, plus playing a few games as well. I got hooked on Castle Age and Country Life..LOL

Had a few days vacation and went home and we took this 5 generation pic while I was there. I am so thankful to still have my Mom and Grandma with me.

I went to a new psychiatrist but he is used to dealing with drug heads and alcholic's and as I am neither he really wasn't doing me any good so I am now in search for one who deals with PTSD. The hospital that I work has a employee help program so they are doing the searching for that one for me. The theraist there says I should just accept the fact that I have had PTSD for over 7 years now and will have to live the rest of my life with it. Guess there is alot worse things I could be dealing with than that.

Fall has finally arrived here in Saint Louis and I am enjoying it, we have raked the yard several times and it still could use another raking after the windy day we had yesterday. One thing that is good those trees didn't make near as many gunballs as they did last year. Am anxiously awaiting some snow now...LOL

What a Month...

I started seeing a new psychiatrist who suggests it might be time I stop taking the Citalopram (Celexa) and maybe switching to another anti-depressant.
Let me tell ya, if I had known one of the withdrawal symptoms was your own body giving you electrical shocks through your whole system, I would have never gone on this anti-depressant.
I stopped taking the pills and within 5 days I was walking around just trying to maintain a smidgen of sanity. I don't EVER want to go through that again.
So now I am back on my dosage of 40 mg. a day and in a few weeks that will be cut down to 20 and so on. The process will be slow going and will more than likely take months and there is a possibility that it won't work.
The psychiatrist says 90 % of people get that withdrawal symptom. Of course it wasn't until after I started getting the shocks through my body that I was told this..
Now I feel trapped by a drug that has done me a lot of good for the past year.
Now I know why my first psychiatrist who put me on it said there might be a possibility that I would have to take it for the rest of my life.
I am hoping the weaning process works.
Only time will tell.
